With a body of work that spans over 30 years, Matthew has completed over 50 retail projects that range from large-scale retail complexes, through to small neighbourhood centres. With each project, he works to create the heart of a community and to deliver spaces that the end-user can both enjoy and appreciate. By listening to what retail consumers want, Matthew is able to create civic spaces where people will congregate and spend time together.

Matthew’s innate ability to collaborate with project stakeholders allows him to understand complex design challenges and create tailored solutions that work to deliver cost-effective, innovative and commercially-driven designs. He balances the project needs with the requirements of the end-user to create spaces that address accessibility, wayfinding and generate ideal pedestrian and traffic flow.

As Managing Director, Matthew plays a key role in the growth of the practice and was an integral part of the interstate expansion into both Sydney and Perth. He prides himself on his ability to bring people together and strives to create a cohesive national team that can effectively collaborate across all offices.
