We are seeking an experienced Senior Technician/Technical Lead to join our team. This pivotal role leads design documentation across all stages of architectural projects. Working closely with Project Leaders, clients, consultants, and internal teams, you will ensure projects are delivered efficiently, to the highest quality, and in compliance with CPA standards.
In addition to technical leadership for the practice, you may also step into a Project Leader role where required.
Key Responsibilities
Lead documentation teams to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
Prepare accurate drawings, models, and schedules in Revit.
Coordinate consultant input and ensure seamless project documentation.
Support Project Leaders in client, consultant, and authority meetings.
Conduct site visits and assist in resolving design issues during construction.
Manage project records, documentation, and ensure compliance with CPA’s Quality Management System (QMS).
Mentor and support junior team members to foster technical growth and excellence.
What We’re Looking For
10+ years’ experience in architectural drafting/documentation within an architectural practice.
Extensive knowledge of New Zealand building codes, documentation standards, and construction methods.
Expert technical proficiency in architectural drawing and documentation.
Advanced Revit skills (essential), with strong proficiency across other BIM/CAD tools and Microsoft Office.
Strong communication skills, with proven ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, and team members.
Qualifications
Diploma in Architectural Practice (or equivalent).
